The PP pleated filter cartridge is a high-performance filtration element engineered for swimming pool water circulation and purification systems. Constructed from food-grade polypropylene (PP) ultrafine fiber membrane with precision pleating technology, it forms a three-dimensional filtration structure that acts as a precision sieve for pool water flow.
The cartridge consists of filtration membrane layers, a support skeleton and sealing end caps, fully integrated via thermal welding without any adhesive additives, ensuring zero secondary pollution during the filtration process. The unique accordion-style pleated design delivers an effective filtration area of 0.6–1.9 m² per 10-inch cartridge — 3 to 5 times that of conventional melt-blown cartridges of the same specifications — achieving the engineering breakthrough of compact size with large capacity.
Adopting submicron gradient density filtration technology, the pore size transitions from loose to dense from the outer layer to the inner layer, forming a deep layer-by-layer screening mechanism. It effectively intercepts:
Suspended particles, sediment and rust
Colloidal impurities and algae spores
Hair, dander and other human metabolic wastes
Partial bacteria and microbial carriers
Filtration precision covers multiple grades from 1μm to 50μm, with an interception rate of 95% and above, keeping pool water consistently crystal clear.
The pleated structure significantly expands fluid channels. At equivalent filtration precision, the initial pressure differential is as low as 0.05MPa, with operating pressure differential stabilized within 0.15MPa. Compared with traditional cartridges, the flow rate increases by 40%–60%, greatly reducing pump energy consumption.
Benefiting from the massive effective filtration area and deep gradient structure, the dirt-holding capacity of a single cartridge reaches 2–3 times that of ordinary cartridges. Under standard swimming pool operating conditions, the replacement cycle can be extended to 3–6 months, substantially reducing maintenance frequency and labor costs.
