KAHO Tubular MF Membrane Overview
KAHO Tubular Microfiltration Membrane is designed for industrial wastewater treatment and liquid separation. Using a tubular flow path and inside-out cross-flow filtration, the membrane supports effective suspended-particle removal and provides a reliable pretreatment option for demanding water treatment processes.
KAHO supplies tubular microfiltration membrane solutions including the KH72MO113 membrane module for industrial wastewater applications. Configuration can be matched to specific treatment requirements and existing process conditions.
Membrane Structure and Design
UHMWPE Support Tube
The ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene filter tube forms the membrane skeleton, providing structural support for the filtration layer and helping the tubular membrane maintain reliable mechanical integrity during industrial operation.
PVDF Surface Layer
A PVDF coating is applied to the surface of the PE support tube to create the functional filtration layer responsible for separating suspended particles from the process liquid.
Open Tubular Flow Channel
The tubular configuration provides an open internal flow path that allows particle-containing liquid to circulate through the membrane channel while reducing the risk of solids accumulating inside narrow passages.
Application of KAHO Tubular MF Membrane

Industrial Wastewater Treatment
KAHO Tubular Microfiltration Membrane can be integrated into industrial wastewater treatment processes for separating suspended particles and other retained contaminants from process water. It is suitable for applications including electronics, electroplating, and aluminum-profile wastewater treatment. Its tubular cross-flow configuration provides an effective filtration stage where solids separation, water clarification, and downstream treatment preparation are required.
Electronics and Electroplating Wastewater
Electronics and electroplating wastewater can contain suspended matter and contaminants that require effective solid-liquid separation before subsequent treatment or reuse. KAHO tubular microfiltration membrane systems are used in these industrial applications. In one KAHO electroplating wastewater project, the overall membrane system recorded an 85% COD removal rate and a heavy-metal-ion removal rate exceeding 99%, with the treated water meeting the project's discharge and reuse requirements.

RO Pretreatment and Water Reuse
Tubular microfiltration can serve as a pretreatment stage before reverse osmosis by removing suspended particles from industrial wastewater before the water enters downstream membrane processes. By improving solid-liquid separation ahead of RO, KAHO tubular microfiltration membranes can be incorporated into industrial water-reuse systems designed to recover treated wastewater and support more efficient use of water resources.
Key Filtration Advantages
High Solids Handling
The open tubular passage accommodates wastewater containing suspended solids and particulate matter, making the membrane suitable for solid-liquid separation in challenging industrial feed streams.
Fouling Resistance
Cross-flow circulation continuously moves liquid along the membrane surface, helping limit particle deposition and filter-cake accumulation that can otherwise restrict effective membrane filtration.
Stable Industrial Filtration
The tubular structure supports continuous circulation and separation, helping maintain dependable filtration performance when treating industrial liquids with changing levels of suspended contaminants.
Easy Cleaning and Maintenance
The cross-flow membrane configuration is designed for practical system cleaning and routine maintenance, helping operators manage membrane contamination and restore filtration conditions during industrial wastewater treatment.
